Founded in 2024 by Jay and Vik, M87 Labs emerged from a shared vision developed during their eight years working together at AWS. Based in Seattle, we're building a new type of AI company with a singular focus on computer vision.

Our flagship product, Moondream, is the world's most efficient Vision Language Model (VLM), pushing the boundaries of what's possible in computer vision. We're proud to be backed by Felicis, the M12 GitHub-Microsoft fund, and Ascend, enabling us to pursue our ambitious vision.
