Our users are developers building with vision AI. They deploy models to drones, robots, cameras, phones. The things they build are genuinely cool. The tools they use to build them? Not yet. That's the job.

There is no design team at Moondream. There's an empty seat and a product that needs someone with taste. You'd own the console, the docs, the marketing site, onboarding, and every surface a user touches. No design system to inherit. No Figma library to extend. Just a React codebase, engineers who care about craft, and a lot of whiteboard space.

You should probably apply if:

You've designed developer tools before and you know the difference between “simple” and “dumbed down”
You ship fast. Whiteboard Monday, prototype Tuesday, in production by Thursday. Three rounds of stakeholder review sounds like a nightmare to you.
You can look at a dashboard full of API metrics and know exactly which three numbers actually matter and how to show them
You've shipped work you're genuinely proud of, and you can show it to us
You want to define a product's visual identity, not just contribute to one

You should definitely not apply if:

You need a PM to write you a brief before you start thinking
You think design is done when the Figma file is “handed off”
Remote work is non-negotiable (we're in-person in San Francisco for a reason)

What you'll actually do

Own every pixel of the product. Console, docs, site, onboarding. All of it.
Sit with engineers and make sure what ships looks like what you designed (because you'll be in the room when it's built)
Make product decisions. We don't have PMs. You'll talk to users, identify problems, and decide what to build.
Probably learn more about vision AI than you expected to

Compensation: $180k–$230k + meaningful equity
