Business Development Representative

San Francisco, CA·In-person·Full-time

There are thousands of companies sitting on massive amounts of visual data they don't know what to do with. Warehouse cameras, factory inspection feeds, medical scans, drone footage. Moondream makes vision AI that actually runs fast enough to process all of it in realtime. Your job is to find the people with these problems and start the conversation.

The people you're reaching out to are engineering leaders, ML teams, and product managers. They're technical. They can tell within two sentences whether you understand their world or you're just working a list. So you need to actually learn what Moondream does and why it matters to their specific problem. This is not a dial-for-dollars job. It's a learn-the-product, find-the-right-people, have-a-real-conversation job.

If you're early in your career and want to get good at selling technical products to technical buyers, this is a genuinely great place to do it. You'll be working directly with our AEs and sitting in on real deals, not stuck in a bullpen running sequences nobody reads.

You should probably apply if:

  • You'd rather understand the product than memorize a talk track
  • You've done something that required serious persistence and produced a measurable result (sales experience or otherwise)
  • You can write a cold email that a VP of Engineering would actually finish reading
  • You don't glaze over when someone mentions an API or a model parameter
  • You want to learn how enterprise sales works from the inside, not just occupy a seat

You should definitely not apply if:

  • Your idea of outbound is blasting the same LinkedIn message to 500 people
  • You're not interested in learning how the product actually works
  • Remote work is non-negotiable (we're in-person in San Francisco because pipeline reviews and deal strategy happen better in a room, not a Zoom)

What you'll actually do

  • Research companies with real visual data problems and figure out who to talk to and what to say
  • Write outbound that speaks to specific technical pain points, not generic value props
  • Qualify leads and hand off warm, well-briefed opportunities to account executives
  • Get deep on the product. Sit in on demos. Read the docs. Understand why a 2B parameter vision model running at 30fps matters to a logistics company.
  • Help figure out which industries and personas convert best and feed that back into how we go to market

Details

  • Location: San Francisco, CA (in-person)
  • Compensation: $75k–$95k base + variable (OTE $120k–$150k) + equity
  • Benefits: Health, dental, vision, paid parental leave, relocation support
